MINDON LEARN

Our Age and Grade Level

Who We Serve

At Mindon Learning, we provide personalized tutoring for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, with approaches tailored to their age, learning stage, and developmental needs. Here’s a breakdown of our service categories:

Junior Kindergarten (JK) – Ages 3 to 4

We introduce early learners to the foundations of literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development through playful, interactive methods. Our focus is on attention-building, phonics awareness, number sense, and classroom readiness.

Senior Kindergarten (SK) – Ages 4 to 5

SK students receive guided support to strengthen early reading, writing, and counting skills. We help them gain confidence, follow routines, and build the focus required for Grade 1 and beyond—all in a nurturing and imaginative learning space.

Grades 1–3 – Ages 6 to 8

At this stage, students are learning how to learn. We focus on literacy fluency, numeracy, and foundational science skills while encouraging curiosity, focus, and early problem-solving. Tutoring reinforces what’s taught in school while identifying and addressing early learning gaps.

Grades 4–6 – Ages 9 to 11

Students in these grades begin to tackle more complex tasks. We provide support in reading comprehension, multiplication, division, writing structure, and science concepts—while building executive function skills like time management, note-taking, and self-monitoring.

Grades 7–8 – Ages 12 to 13

As students transition to high school, the academic pace increases. Our tutoring helps them strengthen math concepts (like fractions, decimals, and algebra basics), sharpen essay writing, improve organization, and prepare for standardized assessments.

Grades 9–10 – Ages 14 to 15

High school starts here, and so does the need for deeper academic mastery. We support students in core high school subjects such as Math (including algebra and geometry), English, Science, and early STEM. We also build test-prep strategies and offer emotional and time-management coaching.

Grades 11–12 – Ages 16 to 18

These critical years prepare students for college, university, or career pathways. We provide specialized support in advanced subjects (functions, calculus, biology, chemistry, English literature, etc.), as well as guidance for exam prep, study planning, scholarship applications, and future-readiness.
